The individuals and organizations listed in this directory are all members of the Mediators of Southern Nevada, Inc.

Every mediator brings a unique blend of skills, education and experience to the practice of mediation.  MSN does not endorse any particular mediator.  Rather, disputing parties are encouraged to carefully consider their particular needs and feel free to contact multiple mediators listed in this directory.  We have found that one of the keys to successful case resolution is for all parties in a dispute to be comfortable with the mediator they ultimately select.  The chances for this are often enhanced through the consideration of more than one mediator.

The Practitioner and Associate members will have the categories of disputes they mediate listed after their names.  Check with the mediator to see if she / he mediates your specific type of dispute.

PRACTITIONER

      
     

Requires at least 60 hours of training approved by the Association for Conflict Resolution, (ACR) the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC), or other comparable organizations.  Practitioners must have mediated at least fifteen (15) mediations (solo/co-mediated); and if a private mediator, possession of a business license allowing the practice of mediation; mediator liability insurance; and the completion of 10 hours of continuing education units/credits (CEU) every two years (at least 5 can be through MSN CEU training and 5 through other organizations.

Requires at least 40 hours of training approved by ACR,  AFCC, or other comparable organizations, and the completion of 10 hours of continuing education units/credits (CEU) every two years (at least 5 can be through MSN CEU trainings and 5 through other organizations).  Associate members can apply their CEU's towards the remaining 60 hours of approved training needed to become a Practitioner member.
