Peacemaker of the Year Award and Dinner
2011 PEACEMAKER DINNER
Mediators of Southern Nevada, Inc. (MSN) is a non-profit organization that supports alternative dispute resolution as a problem-solving tool. In recognition of its value in communities, MSN sponsors an Annual Nevada Mediation Week in September of each year. Highlighting the week is our Peacemaker Dinner. We know that there are many in our community who help to make peace in their home, workplace, their neighborhood, or their affiliation groups. Each year Mediators of Southern Nevada, Inc. (MSN) asks members of the community to nominate individuals or groups who bring peace to their family, their affiliation group, or their community. Being a trained mediator is not a requirement for Peacemaker nominees. Past nominees have included writers, police officers, religious leaders, doctors, community activists, family members, service organizations, educators, therapists, elected officials, and perhaps your neighbor or friend.
There are seven categories of nominees: Business, Community, Court, Family, Youth, Organization, and Professional/Volunteer Mediator.
